This palette is the best thing I got in the Boxing Day sale. RRP £43 I picked this up for £28.50 from Selfridges. I saw the Heavy Metals palette in Debenhams in November and instantly was attracted to it. It was so shiny and the colour stood out so much. I already own the Electric palette by so I know the quality is fantastic. 20 colours for £28.50 is a bargain.

The packaging is different to other palettes I have. It’s got a purple metallic bumpy cover which the palette sides out from. I prefer the style of the palette where the eyeshadows are on either side of the mirror. I find this easier to hold and the mirror is large enough. Some palettes that are an opening case I find the mirror is too small and can be easier to get dirty with the fallout from the shadow.

I love how on one side the colours are warm and nudes and the other side has more popping colours such as purple, blue and pink. The colours don’t just stand out on the palette but also on skin.

Personally I am in love with the blue shades. They are so bold and so eye catching, they would make great looks whether for casual or evening wear. All the shades have come out really well. Especially as all I did was rub my fingers in the palette unlike some palettes where it takes quite a while for the colour to develop as strong as the heavy metals have done instantly.

Overall I am loving the colours. I can’t wait to see how many looks I can create, even with the warm side as I prefer these colours for everyday looks and my eyes are my favourite feature so to accentuate them with these metallic range of colours is going to be something I truly look forward to.
